01 · Applications

Protection for every absorbent stone surface.

From granite steps to sandstone facade. Six applications, one working principle.

  • GM

    Granite, Marble & Travertine

Hard stone on steps, window sills, facades and cladding. Protection against staining, moisture and discoloration without changing the character of the stone.

  • SL

    Sandstone & Limestone

Facades, walls and patios. Especially important for porous, absorbent stone that soaks up moisture and weathers quickly.

  • SP

    Slate & Pavers

Walkways, driveways and roofs. Protection against frost damage, moss and algae on heavily exposed outdoor surfaces.

  • NF

    Natural stone facades

Homes, exposed masonry and commercial buildings. Breathable, no film forming, long-term protection against the weather.

  • HR

    Heritage & restoration

Conservation-grade impregnation. Preserves the original substance without any visual change. Vapour-permeable and reversible.

  • OF

    Oil & stain protection

Hydrophobic and oleophobic in one. Water, oil, wine and coffee bead up, do not penetrate the stone and wipe off without residue.

02 · How it works

Hydrophobic and oleophobic in one.

An organofunctional silane/siloxane micro-emulsion penetrates the stone and lines the pores to repel water and oil. Vapour-permeable, no moisture build-up. Effective on polished hard stone too, there via the micro-pores.

  • PENETRATION DEPTH3–15 mm
  • WATER ABSORPTION REDUCTION> 90 %
  • OIL & STAIN PROTECTIONactive (oleophobic)

03 · Application

Five-step protocol.

Reproducible results through a standardised process. No special tools required.

  1. 01

    Check the substrate

The stone must be dry, clean and sound. Repair loose pointing beforehand and remove old coatings.

    0.5 h
  2. 02

    Clean

Remove dirt with low pressure or a universal cleaner. Treat algae and moss growth beforehand.

    1–4 h
  3. 03

    Let it dry

Allow at least 24 to 48 hours of drying after cleaning. Residual moisture reduces the effect.

    24–48 h
  4. 04

    Apply the sealer

Apply generously top to bottom with brush, roller, low-pressure sprayer or airless unit, wet-on-wet until the stone stops absorbing.

    2–6 h
  5. 05

    Let it cure

Full cure after 24 to 48 hours. Protect from rain. First effect visible immediately, water and oil bead up.

    24–48 h

    The stone breathes

The academy's facade was treated with our stone sealer in 2006. It was selected after extensive preliminary testing, because a film-forming sealer is out of the question in heritage conservation: the natural stone must stay vapour-permeable and must not change in appearance.

The result: no visual change, full protection against moisture and discoloration, while retaining full vapour permeability. A reference project that proves what our natural stone sealer can do in a heritage context.

05 · FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Q01 How much sealer do I need for my surface? +

Consumption is 50 to 200 ml per m² depending on how absorbent your stone is. For 100 m² of surface, plan for 5 to 20 litres. Our consumption calculator gives you a precise recommendation.

Q02 When is the best time to apply the sealer? +

Spring, summer and autumn are ideal. Apply between 5 and 30 °C, with no rain for at least 24 hours before and after application.

Q03 Does it work on marble and granite too? +

Yes. Even on dense hard stone such as granite, marble and travertine an effective protection forms, because our sealer penetrates the micro-pores. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

Q04 Does the sealer change the look of my stone? +

No. After drying our sealer is completely invisible. It changes neither colour, gloss nor texture, which makes it ideal for visible natural stone and heritage surfaces.

Q05 How long does the protection last? +

3 to 15 years, depending on exposure and type of stone. Sheltered surfaces usually last longer than heavily exposed outdoor areas. When water stops beading, it is time to refresh.

Q06 Do you offer bulk containers and white label? +

Yes. On request we supply 200 L drums and IBC containers. Our sealers are used on heritage restoration and large natural stone projects. For trade partners we offer white-label labelling.

Q07 How do I seal natural stone correctly? +

Seal natural stone in five steps: check the substrate, clean thoroughly, let it dry for 24 to 48 hours, apply the sealer generously wet-on-wet, then let it cure. The stone must be absorbent, clean and dry. On dense hard stone such as granite, test on an inconspicuous area first.
