From the classic fabric soft top to the boat tonneau cover. Six applications, one working principle.

    Fabric soft top

    The classic convertible fabric roof. Water beads off instead of soaking in, so the top keeps its shape and ages more slowly.

  • CS

    Black and colored tops

    Black and colored soft tops. Refreshes deep blacks, reduces watermarks and cuts down on algae where the car sits.

  • WT

    Weather and snow

    Protection against rain, snow and winter icing. Droplets roll off, and there is less frost damage along seams and folds.

  • UV

    UV exposure

    The active ingredient is UV-stable and does not break down in sunlight. The protection lasts through the service life, even on south- and west-facing parking spots.

  • TA

    Targa and tonneau

    Also suitable for targa tops, boat tonneau covers and comparable heavy outdoor fabrics.

    Breathable

    Stays 100% breathable. No stiff film build-up, so the top keeps folding and unfolding cleanly.

02 · How it works

Protection around each fiber, UV-stable.

A water-based silane formulation wraps every fiber of the top fabric in a water-repellent film. The active ingredient itself is UV-stable and does not break down in sunlight, so the protection lasts through the service life, even on south- and west-facing parking spots. Fluorine-free, silicone-free, with no stiff film build-up, so the folding mechanism stays supple.

03 · Application

Five-step protocol.

Reproducible results through a standardized process. For convertibles, two coats wet-in-wet are always recommended.

    Clean the top

    Clean the top thoroughly, ideally with a convertible top cleaner. Remove all algae, moss and watermarks first.

  2. 02

    Let it dry

    Let the top dry completely, ideally 24 hours in dry weather. Residual moisture blocks absorption.

  3. 03

    Apply the first coat

    Spray evenly from about 20 to 30 cm away. 100 to 200 ml per m2 depending on fabric density. Do not soak through.

  4. 04

    Second coat (recommended)

    After 15 minutes, apply a second coat wet-in-wet. Convertible tops benefit from a double coat because of constant water contact.

    Dry and test

    Let it dry stretched out for at least 24 hours before closing the top. Do a water-drop test, water should bead off.

Q01 How often should I waterproof my convertible top? +

Depending on use and weather, we recommend a fresh treatment every 1 to 2 years. For year-round vehicles or cars that are often parked outdoors, an annual refresh can make sense. Tip: do a simple water test, and once the water stops beading off, it is time for a new treatment.

Q02 Can I treat my top myself? +

Yes, absolutely. Our textile protectant is designed for easy DIY use. You do not need any prior experience, just follow our step-by-step guide. The result is comparable to a professional treatment, but far more affordable.

Q03 Is the protectant also suitable for vinyl and plastic tops? +

No. Our textile protectant is made exclusively for fabric tops, because those are absorbent materials. Vinyl or plastic tops have a closed surface and cannot take up the protectant. For those materials we recommend our plastic sealant.

Q04 Does the protectant change the look of the fabric? +

No, our nano protectant is completely invisible once dry. It changes neither the color nor the texture or feel of the fabric. The top looks and feels exactly as before, with the difference that it is now optimally protected.

Q05 Does the protectant help with faded tops? +

The protectant guards against dirt and water, but it cannot restore already faded colors. For heavily faded tops we recommend a dedicated fabric dye to refresh the color first, then the protectant. That way you get a like-new look with optimal protection.

Q06 What does a professional top treatment cost? +

Professional detailers typically charge 80 to 150 euros for a top treatment. With our DIY solution you pay a fraction of that, and the result is comparable. Keep in mind: a new top costs 1,500 to 3,000 euros, so protecting it is a smart investment in retaining value.
