2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (44 Montgomery Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA). When you access the website, Netlify automatically processes technical data (so-called server log files) that your browser transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing device
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address (anonymized)

This data is evaluated to ensure smooth operation and to improve our services (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, legitimate interest). A data processing agreement is in place with Netlify, and the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission apply to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

3. Inquiry and Contact Forms

If you send us inquiries via our inquiry or contact forms, the information you provide in the form, including the contact details you enter there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation of a contract) or (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the effective processing of your inquiry). The data remains with us until you request its deletion or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions (in particular retention periods) remain unaffected.

The form data is transmitted to us via the "Netlify Forms" function of the aforementioned Netlify, Inc. and briefly cached there. A data processing agreement is in place.

4. Web Analytics: Google Analytics & Microsoft Clarity

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics 4. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

On your first visit to our website, a cookie banner appears in which you can expressly consent to or refuse the use of Google Analytics. Only after your consent ("Accept") is the Google Analytics script loaded and tracking cookies are set. If you decline, no analytics takes place.

Google Analytics enables us to analyze the behavior of our website visitors. In doing so, we receive various usage data such as page views, time spent on the site, operating systems used, and the origin of the user. This data is aggregated into a user ID and assigned to the respective device.

We use Google Analytics exclusively with IP anonymization activated. Your IP address is shortened by Google within the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

The use is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time (see section 7). A data processing agreement is in place with Google. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Our Google Analytics property has the measurement ID G-MYQL1HSF7K.

You can also prevent collection by Google Analytics by installing a browser plugin: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Microsoft Clarity

In addition, we use Microsoft Clarity, an analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation (One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA) or Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited. Clarity creates anonymized session recordings and so-called heatmaps (mouse, scroll, and click movements) so that we can improve the usability of our website.

Entries in form fields are masked by default by Clarity and are not recorded. Microsoft Clarity is likewise only loaded after your express consent via the cookie banner; if you decline, no recording takes place.

The use is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG and can be withdrawn at any time (see section 7). A data processing agreement is in place with Microsoft; any transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Further information can be found in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

5. Cookies

Our website uses exclusively technically necessary cookies (e.g. session cookies). When Google Analytics is used, additional cookies are set, but only after your express consent. You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed.

6. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

7. Your Rights

You have the right at any time:

  • to access the personal data stored about you by us (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
  • to erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR);
